Each Wednesday, fresh style shares our Wednesday DIY. The WDIY is a fun and easy midweek project to inspire you! We hope it will spark an idea that has you gathering your tools, breaking out your paintbrushes, and putting a drop cloth in the driveway for weekend creativity in the sun! This Wednesday, as Daylight Saving Time approaches, celebrate with a new clock on the wall.
It’s always teatime with this wall clock! Collect a variety of vintage teacups and saucers. Prepare a base that complements your decor and suits your fancy. We used a piece of plywood, painted a turquoise shade, inserted into a ready-made 20-inch square frame.
Glue saucers to the base, using a heavy-duty adhesive, such as Loctite Epoxy Instant Mix 5 Minute. Let dry for 10 minutes, glue cups to saucers, and let dry an additional 20 minutes. To finish, add clock hands and movement (available at crafts stores and online sources like klockit.com), following package directions. Hang your new wall clock, grab a spot of tea, and enjoy the beauty of your timeless masterpiece!
