As you clean out closets this spring and sort through your clothes, box up those that you don’t love and haven’t worn in a while. There are always nonprofit organizations looking for donations, and many of them will pick up to make it more convenient for you. You will not only make more room in your closet, but also be helping a worthy cause.

As my friends and family know, there is a sort of creative chaos that typifies my space. There is always some bit of ribbon or paper or hammer and nails strewn about from a frenzy of creating. I like to store things where I can see them, because if I can see them, I know where they are. That’s why I love these vintage coke bottle crates. I can organize my markers and crayons and pencils and all sorts of other oddities by color, and they’re cute enough to sit out in the open.

To making the task of spring cleaning more enjoyable and manageable, I use Mrs. Meyers Clean Day countertop spray in my kitchen. My favorite scent is Radish, it smells amazing!

I’m always striving to live my life more simply, so spring cleaning is a really exciting time in my world! My favorite part is after the purging and packing up is finished I’ll open all the windows and doors in our apartment, let the evening breeze in, and light my favorite spring-smelling candle to fill the air with aromas of oranges and flowers.
